Personalized Golf Balls: Text, Logos and Order Checks

Compare personalized golf ball order types: text, library designs and uploaded logos, with checks for model, minimum quantity, proofs, cost and returns.

Last updated

When buying personalized golf balls, choose the ball model first and then identify the exact decoration service: text, a ready-made design or your own uploaded artwork. Check the minimum quantity for that service, what must be approved, the complete price and the seller’s terms before ordering.

If the base ball is still undecided, start with the first golf-ball buying checklist for model identity, condition, quantity and cost, then return here for the decoration order.

Personalization is an optional appearance purchase. This guide does not rank ball performance, assess print durability or claim that TeeClear has ordered samples. For the wider equipment decision, start with personalizing your first golf gear.

Before ordering personalized golf balls

  • Choose the order route: Titleist’s US FAQ distinguishes its one-dozen general minimum from the six-dozen-per-model uploaded-logo route. Rechecked 17 October 2026; do not combine models to reach the upload minimum.
  • Confirm what you approve: the upload route supplies a digital proof. Record the model, decoration locations and approved file; do not assume another program follows that process. Vice’s current minimum remains unconfirmed in this guide.
  • Check the cost of changing your mind: Titleist’s upload page says final sale; Vice excludes personalized returns/exchanges. Obtain the selected total, change cutoff and error-reporting process, then save your order record.

Decide what you actually want printed

A name, a manufacturer’s selectable symbol and an uploaded photograph may lead to different order routes. Use this planning table before opening a configurator.

Your intended result Ask the provider
Name, initials or a short message Which models, text limits, fonts and colors are available?
A design from its library Is it licensed or restricted to a particular model or location?
Your own logo or photograph What file, proof and minimum quantity rules apply?
Decoration in two locations Does this exact service support both locations?

These are buyer questions, not universal options. Titleist’s US custom-ball FAQ describes text, marks, library logos and uploaded logos. Vice’s US customization page describes text, images, logos and icons. Similar category names do not establish identical model selections or combinations.

Keep minimum quantities attached to the order type

As checked on 16 October 2026, Titleist’s general custom-ball FAQ states a one-dozen minimum, while its custom-logo upload program requires six dozen per model. The upload FAQ says different models cannot be combined to reach that minimum.

That distinction matters for a beginner ordering a small personal supply. Do not choose the upload route merely because you want something personal, or assume a one-dozen message order proves an uploaded logo has the same minimum. We have not established Vice’s current minimum from the readable program text and do not supply one here.

Our editorial suggestion is to write the model, color, order type, quantity and design locations on a single order note. Compare the complete basket, not a per-dozen headline that requires buying more than you intended.

Check the design before it becomes an order

For your chosen program, confirm the following before approving the design:

  1. Copy the exact spelling, initials and capitalization into the final order record.
  2. Identify each design location and the intended print size.
  3. Check the supplied artwork format and the model/ball-color restrictions.
  4. Ask whether a separate proof is supplied or the configurator is the only preview.
  5. Confirm when you can still change the design and what counts as final approval.

Titleist’s uploaded-logo workflow includes a digital proof, and that service does not support second-pole decoration. Vice describes single- and double-sided layouts in its own program. This is a difference between services, not evidence that a particular design will work on every Vice model.

A logo visible in a preview is not proof of authorization to reproduce it. Titleist’s upload requirements call for written authorization for licensed or royalty-bearing images. Use your own authorized material and ask the provider about anything uncertain. Do not copy a team logo merely because you saw it on another ball.

Separate approval, production and delivery

Ask for the order’s sequence: payment, file check, any proof approval, production and shipping. An expedited delivery method does not itself explain when production will finish. If the balls are needed for a first round or gift date, ask the provider for an order-specific schedule before committing.

The readable Vice program page presented several FAQ questions without their answers during this research. We therefore do not repeat a Vice resolution requirement or delivery estimate based on those unanswered headings. No TeeClear sample establishes color accuracy, wear resistance or print quality.

Read the personalized-order terms separately

Titleist’s custom-upload page states that sales are final. Vice’s return FAQ excludes personalized orders from its ordinary return/exchange provision. These are the providers’ published terms, not a ruling on a damaged or incorrectly fulfilled order.

Before buying, save the final preview or proof, quantity, selected model, total cost and seller identity. Ask how the provider handles an item that differs from the approved order. Where the page does not answer, record the answer as unconfirmed rather than borrowing another seller’s policy.

Keep this optional purchase inside your first-equipment budget. If you are also considering a name on a bag, golf bag embroidery has different item-eligibility and proof questions.
